A Qingbai ‘lotus’ teapot and cover (Southern Song dynasty, 1127-1279)

The globular body set on a short, unglazed foot with a moulded, ridged strap handle opposite a short spout. The top section of the teapot carved with lotus petals. The circular cover with an inverted centre. The teapot is covered overall with a light green, almost celadon glaze.
