Edward Hongyi Jia (China, b. 1996) is a contemporary Chinese artist whose paintings explore the relationship between nature, technology, and human intervention. Educated at the Royal College of Art and currently based in London, Jia creates atmospheric works that blend organic landscapes with futuristic and mechanical forms. His art is deeply influenced by his childhood experience breeding discus fish, which led him to reflect on humanity’s desire to control and reshape nature.
